Research Scientist (Thermodynamics R&D - Refrigeration Cycle)

Responsibilities

  • Assisting the VP of Hardware in designing tests and optimizing refrigeration cycles
  • Conducting research and development activities related to thermodynamics, specifically in the field of refrigeration
  • Conducting experiments, analyzing data, and documenting findings to contribute to the development of innovative and efficient refrigeration technologies
  • Investigating and evaluating insulation, cooling, and heat dissipation techniques to improve overall product performance
  • Developing and implementing testing methodologies and protocols for evaluating thermal components and compressor systems
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in the development of temperature-control technologies

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in STEM field (Masters or PhD preferred)
  • 3+ years of thermodynamics or refrigeration R&D work experience

Skill Requirements

  • Proficient understanding of insulation, cooling, and heat dissipation
  • Prior experience with thermal components or compressor systems (preferred)
  • Prior experience with refrigerators, air conditioners, or water purifiers with refrigeration cycles (preferred)
